SINGING NEWS Magazine Selects The Fritts Family
"My Lord Might Come Anytime"

Rogersville, TN:  My Lord Might Come Anytime, written by Larry Fritts, debuts at #78 on the Singing News Magazine's December 2006 gospel chart among some of the finest names in gospel and bluegrass music, including: The Gaither Vocal Band, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Jeff and Sheri Easter, The Isaacs, The Crabb Family and more.

In addition, their 2006 self-released "One More Mountain," reached #2 on the Roots Music Report for Roots Gospel music, and remains on the chart for its 29th consecutive week, still in the top 10.  It joins the likes of Alan Jackson, BB King, The Crabb Family, The Isaacs, Al Green, the Carter Family, and more. In September 2006, The Fritts Family was nominated for two of WIVK's prestigious Americana Highway HEMI Awards.

"One More Mountain" is truly one the year's most delightful musical experiences and a significant milestone in the career of the Fritts Family."--Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine

The Fritts Family began performing bluegrass and Americana music in 1986. During the next twenty years, an extensive touring schedule and the release of more than a dozen albums has kept the group in high demand and established them as an important element on the current acoustic music scene.

Band members include: Larry Fritts (banjo, guitar, vocals) who has performed with the legendary Jimmy Smith "The Old Ridge Runner" (a onetime frontman for the Carl Smith show); Sarah Fritts (fiddle, vocals), performing since age three, has studied fiddle with the late Benny Sims (original fiddle on "Pike County Breakdown" and vocalist on "Salty Dog Blues" with Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs) and at the East Tennessee State University bluegrass program; and Jeremy Fritts (guitar, baritone guitar, mandolin), whose diverse musical background includes a Master's Degree in Classical Guitar from Nashville's Belmont University, jazz studies with John Pell, and four years of performance with the East Tennessee State University Senior Bluegrass Band. His appearances include venues such as: the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, the IBMA Awards Show and Fan Fest, and a twenty-concert tour of France. In addition, Jeremy is an avid music instructor and has taught classes at Milligan College and East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Their sound, while deeply rooted in the traditions of bluegrass, folk, jazz, and even classical idioms is always fresh and inventive. One of the most important aspects of the band's music has always been the original material contributed by each member of the group.

"...superb fiddle...phenomenal guitar work" --Bob Mitchell, Louisville Music News

"...they've moved to a new sophisticated and creative level with their music." --Steve Winters, WSHU/WSUF

"There's some sparkling music here--powerful originals which have been imaginatively arranged and expertly delivered....Thanks again for sending a wonderful breath of fresh air into the genre." --Dave Higgs, Bluegrass Breakdown
